Babis’ Ouzeri
This is tasty, no-frills Greek like Giagia used to make. Begin by sampling the region’s flavourful cuisine with the veggie platter, anámikto piáto, which comes heaped with spinach-feta pockets, dill-sprinkled, batterdipped aubergines and zucchini, and several spreads including their mouthwatering tsatsiki. Onthehouse ouzo, an anise-flavored liquor, washes it all down nicely. A stand-out in the array of grilled meaty dishes is biftéki gemisto, pork prepared with feta, tomatoes, olives and peppers mixed in. Get it with their homemade fries or patatés tiganités.
